Description
Clayton County’s key technology infrastructure and operations has been housed in a 40+ year old building that has exceeded technology, training and staff capacities. This SPLOST initiative is to build a new technology operations center and a secure, hardened data center. Notably, the new operations center will serve as the County’s primary technology training center with flexible classroom space for up to 42 people. This is more than triple the current training capacity and is designed to provide ongoing professional development for County employees on the software systems being used.
Update: Information Technology Headquarters and Training Center facility is approximately 99% complete and is in the punch list phase. A Certificate of Occupancy was issued and move-in has been completed. A walk through by the architect and Building Maintenance Department was performed on December 3, 2020.
