District 2 Pocket Park

The District 2 Pocket Park, 1740 Flat Shoals Road, Atlanta, GA 30349, will provide a space for open multipurpose play, playground, pavilion, dog park, and a staging area for Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services mobile medical clinic. 

Funding to construct the District 2 Pocket Park is twofold. The 2021 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) monies have been used to design the park while a Federal Grant obtained by Clayton County will pay for the building of the new park. 

May 2026: Site clearing has begun. Parks and Recreation personnel are reviewing the proposed playground equipment plans.
