March 2024: Corrections are being made to the paved trail to meet the required 5% slope per Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.

February 2024: Diversified Construction has completed paving on the northern and southern portion of the trails. A task list of items needing correction has been provided to Diversified Construction by Prime Engineering, which includes repaving of several portions of the trail. Planning, Design and Construction is awaiting an updated project timeline from Diversified Construction.

November 2023: The north end of the trail has been paved and striped. Paving on the southern portion of the trail is set to begin in December, however, cold weather may delay the original completion date of Dec. 25, 2023. Asphalt requires an outside minimum temperature of 45 degrees to be laid.

October 2023: Paving of the new walking trail has started with a completion date set in late November.

September 2023: Prime Engineering is clearing and leveling the trail in preparation for laying asphalt. The next step will be to determine the placement of the paved trail within the clearing.
